Rivers & Streams Committee             

 

 

The MOAFS Rivers and Streams Committee

he MOAFS Rivers and Streams Committee was developed to promote the wise use and management of   the river and stream resources for all Missourians.  This committee was formally added as standing committee within the Chapter on September 1, 1988.

The specific objectives of the Committee are:

bulletFacilitate the transfer of information between the Chapter's Rivers and Streams Committee and the AFS/NCD
bulletProvide Committee members with a forum for interaction
bulletProvide the general public and private conservation organizations with information on stream-related issues.
bulletFoster awareness on stream-related issues with all resource professionals
bulletIdentify stream-related issues
bulletDevelop position statements and strategies to address identified issues
