House Bill 628 - HB628 – Loehner sponsor - Changes the laws regarding surface mining and gravel excavation.  After being voted “do pass” from the Conservation and Natural Resources Committee, the last action, 04/11/2007,  was the bill voted “do pass” by the Rules Committee.  The proposed effective date is 08/28/2007.  The bill is on the House calendar for perfection.  http://www.house.mo.gov/bills071/bills/HB628.HTM

House Committee Substitute for Senate Bill 419 - HCS/SB 419 – Kennedy sponsor - This act modifies provisions pertaining to natural resources.  This bill contains changes to the sand and gravel mining rules.  The last action was on 5/18/2007 when it was placed on the House Calendar as a Senate Bill for Third Reading.   http://www.senate.mo.gov/07info/BTS_Web/Bill.aspx?SessionType=R&BillID=10027

Senate Concurrent Resolution - SCR22 – Shoemyer sponsor - Encourages the Missouri Department of Conservation to have a regulated statewide hand fishing season for channel, blue, and flathead catfish from June first to July thirteenth beginning in 2007.  The last action, on 4/4/2007, was a hearing conducted in the Senate Rules, Joint Rules, Resolutions & Ethics Committee.  The effective date is “upon approval”.  http://www.senate.mo.gov/07info/BTS_Web/Bill.aspx?SessionType=R&BillID=57063
